1. Introduction
Welcome to Mysto (“Mysto” or the “App”), a maze generation tool designed for use within the Canva platform. Mysto is published and operated by Mr. Paolo Straet (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using Mysto, you (“User,” “you,” or “your”) agree to be bound by the following terms, privacy practices, and support guidelines. If you do not agree with any part of this document, you must not use Mysto.
This document combines the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Support Information into a single, unified page for your convenience.
2. Description of Mysto
Mysto is a creative tool that helps you generate and customize maze-based illustrations directly inside Canva. With Mysto, you can:
Choose between different maze modes (for example, classic mazes or “magic” mazes with portals and monsters).
Adjust difficulty (easy, intermediate, hard) and size (number of cells in width and height).
Generate mazes enhanced with portals, monsters, swords, and other decorative elements (in supported modes).
Under the hood, Mysto uses its own maze-generation engine (including graph algorithms and pathfinding) to create layouts that match the requested difficulty and size. Mazes are rendered as SVG and then are inserted directly into your Canva designs.
Mysto uses the Canva Apps SDK and the @canva/app-ui-kit for its user interface elements and integration. Mysto runs exclusively within the Canva platform and cannot be used outside of Canva.
3. License to Use
Subject to your full compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, and revocable license to use Mysto solely for personal or internal business purposes, strictly within the Canva platform and in accordance with its intended functionality.
Mandatory Restrictions
You are strictly prohibited from:
Copying, decompiling, reverse engineering, disassembling, or attempting to derive the source code of Mysto or any part thereof.
Distributing, selling, renting, leasing, lending, assigning, or sublicensing Mysto.
Using Mysto in any way that damages, disables, overburdens, disrupts, or impairs the App, our servers, the Canva platform, or connected networks.
Using Mysto for any illegal, fraudulent, unauthorized, or unethical purpose, or in violation of these Terms or Canva’s terms of service.
4. Relationship with Canva
Mysto functions entirely within the Canva platform. Your use of Canva is governed solely by Canva’s own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for Canva’s features, availability, policies, or data handling.
Any issues related to Canva itself (such as your Canva account, billing, or design storage) are handled directly by Canva and not by us.
5. Intellectual Property
a) Our Property
All rights, title, and interest in Mysto—including its software code, user interface, visual design, and underlying maze-generation and decoration technology—are owned exclusively by Paolo Straet and/or our licensors.
Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you, except for the limited license granted in Section 3. You obtain no rights in or to Mysto other than the right to use it in accordance with these Terms.
b) Your Created Content
You retain full and exclusive ownership of any maze images, compositions, or designs that you create using Mysto. We claim no rights over your content. You are free to use, modify, distribute, or commercialize the content you create with Mysto, subject to Canva’s own terms and applicable law.
c) Third-Party Libraries and Assets
Mysto uses third-party libraries and assets under their respective licenses. In particular:
Canva Apps SDK & UI Kit
Mysto uses the Canva Apps SDK and components from the @canva/app-ui-kit to integrate into the Canva editor and provide a consistent user interface. These components are used under Canva’s terms for app developers.Algorithms and Utilities
Mysto relies on an internal maze engine built with common algorithmic techniques (such as depth‑first search, growing-tree algorithms, and pathfinding). Where appropriate, small open-source helper libraries may be used (for example, for randomization or collections), each governed by its own license.Icons and Visual Assets
Mysto uses icons and visual assets both from the @canva/app-ui-kit and from third‑party resources. Some icons used to represent game‑like elements (such as portals, monsters, or swords) are adapted from icon sets like Game-Icons.net (by creators such as Lorc and Delapouite) and are used under their respective open licenses (for example CC BY 3.0).
Exact attributions and credits are displayed within the Mysto app interface (for example, in the preview section), so users can clearly see and acknowledge the original authors.
These third‑party components remain the property of their respective authors. Their use in Mysto does not imply endorsement by the original creators.
6. Your Responsibilities for Content
You are solely responsible for all content you create using Mysto. You agree that your content will:
Not infringe any third-party rights, including copyright, trademark, trade secret, or other proprietary rights.
Comply with all applicable local, national, and international laws and regulations.
